Our Thoughts

Divers find the world's second biggest reef in Belize. This reef has played a dominant role in Belize's history and culture. British pirates used the reef for protection as they settled the land behind it. Eventually Belize became a British colony and that's why this is the only place south of Texas that uses English as the main language. Today, the reef continues to be the main attraction for tourism, a major part of Belize's island sized economy.

Highlight: Most roads may be unpaved yet Belize is the most expensive tourist destination in Central America. Our favorite place was Ambergris Caye, an island where golf carts are taxis and swimming is the main activity.
