We cross the border along the tropical
coast and watch fisherman sell their catch under shaded
palm trees. We explore slaving forts, the oldest one
built in 1492 at the Cape Coast. From Cape Coast, we
drive to Accra, a playground for the rich of the Middle
East.
From Accra we visit Kakum National park,
famous for an aerial walkway suspended 100 feet over
the forest floor. Our last major stop in Ghana is Kumasi,
ancient capital of the Ashanti Empire and the main centre
of West Africa's cultural heritage.
