Itinerary
Trip 2002
January 20 We enter Kampala, Uganda's capital. The main attraction here are the Kasubi tombs of the Kabakas who were kings of the Buganda people of Uganda (say that several times real fast).
January 21-24 The best part about Uganda is a trek to see the Mountain Gorillas!
January 25-27 Leaving the main roads again we head off to Busingiro Forest Reserve. Following many paths, we hike throughout the forest looking for wildlife.
January 28-29 We visit another big site in Uganda is the Murchison Falls, the point where the mighty Nile is forced through narrow openings into gushing waterfalls.
January 30-31 After heading back through Kampala, we stop for awhile at Jinja, the source of the Nile. We have a chance to go white water rafting here.
