Back in Namche and we are yak-tired. Our guide drove us down the trail and we ended up in a large village called Khumjung, where we had pizza and apple pie at the locally famous Everest bakery. After two weeks of tasteless rice and lentels, this pizza tasted as if the cook had divine inspiration.
The Nepalis have carved writings on stones and boulders all over the trail. These carvings are fancy trail prayers and signs called Mani walls.
