Today we returned from the Bazaruto Islands. Calm waters, an easy sail. Then we explored Vilanculos, a charming resort town that is worth a re-visit if we come back to Mozambique. For our meals we eat crabs and beef or chicken with Piri-piri sauce, a spicy chili sauce that the locals seem to add to all meals.
Locals catch a return ferry to the Mozambique mainland from the small islands for the Bazaruto Archipelago.
We have a cook who buys most of our food, but I can't resist negotiating for more crabs, very affordable around here at 50 US cents per dozen or $2.50 US per bushel.
