| We finished the Garden Route on a four hour drive from Mossel Bay to Cape Town. The huge
tracts of farmland surprised us. Farmland greenery surrounded us during today's entire journey. We even saw tracts of pine
and eucalyptus, trees we don't usually associate with Africa. Grazing ostriches
instead of cows provided the main visual difference from a US farmland scene.
