Next Day
We slept in an isolated camp without fences. Lions kept us awake all night with their roars; they prowled about our camp and sounded very close at times, within thirty yards. That made toilet dashes from the tent exciting and quick.
A pair of dik-diks, the smallest antelope.
Too small to interest a lion.
Sitting giraffes are a rare sight. Sitting makes them vulnerable to a neck-bite from a hungry lion.
