| Leaving Kampala once again, we headed north across Uganda towards the lakes bordering the Congo. By afternoon we reached Budongo forest, a moist rainforest. No rain fell, it's the dry season this month. We explored the forest on foot and watched Colobus monkeys and blue monkeys display impressive acrobatics as they jumped from tree to tree. We tried to identify jungle noises at night but our inexpert ears can't differentiate a monkey from a bird. |
