Take a few walking tours of Esfahan, then go carpet shopping. Watch out. One carpet store quoted us a price of $1100 dollars for a beautiful Kilim carpet. We saw the same carpet for sale in another store, the price: $200. If you're not careful you'll end up fleeced like the sheep who's wool went into the carpet.
The snow falls on our last day in Esfahan, frosting the ceramic tiles and our noses.
Feeling small under the blue tiled magnificence of the Esfahan's Emam Mosque.
Chehel Sotun palace shows a different side of Islamic life in Persia, pictures of dancing girls, women with uncovered hair, and bottles of wine.
