In Kerala's backwaters the neighborhoods are connected by narrow pathways surrounded by water.
Each house is a waterfront property. Villagers bathe, wash dishes, laundry, and fish for lunch and dinner in their backyard. Some fishermen use a bow and arrow but most use nets.
