With nothing to keep our attention in Lilongwe, we take a bus into the central Malawi, arriving in a town called Nkhotakhota (try asking for directions to a place called Nkhotakhota).
Possibly the best attraction
in Malawi are the people themselves, always smiling and willing to pose.
What
happens to second hand clothing from America? Some of it ends up on the street
markets of Malawi. We're not sure if donating clothes to Africa is helpful because
it destroys the local clothing industry and the clothes are resold, not given
away to the poor. | |||
Buses offer several types of seating: roof,
aisle, or in someone's lap.
