Next Day
Last night we arrived in Bangkok, for the next six days we'll stay here, strolling, shopping, and shying away from touts or trishaw drivers. We love this city because it offers so many diverse experiences: the pizazz of Thai food, the sidewalk life, the streetshops, canals, malls, and exhibitions. And yes, it is possible to find secluded, quiet, and clean spots within the city. We also take advantage of Bangkok's top medical facilities. People fly in from all over the world for cheap, first class dental and surgical offerings. We receive a full dental checkup (Jill had a cavity filled) for less than $50 for two (including the cavity filling).
Siamese dancers deserve hazard pay for performing moves with those long nails.
After wearing the same duds, day after day, a clothing shop seems like the 8th wonder of the world.
King and Queen play a major role in Thai society.
