Sao Paulo is the Los Angeles of Brazil. One of the largest cities in the world, it sprawls for miles in an unplanned maze of streets and buildings. I explored the concrete jungle and bought Jill a 'Brazilian Opal.' I don't know anything about jewelry, so it is probably fake (if there even is such a thing as a Brazilian Opal). Better not get it appraised - an appraiser might ruin the illusion that I bought something valuable.
One advantage of business travel: great accommodations. This place was bigger and nicer than my apartment (the Copa Cabana Palace, Rio).
